Monsters University Disney Infinity Play Set Trailer

One of the many play sets that will be included on the highly-anticipated Skylanders-style video game Disney Infinity will, of course, be the very lively Monsters University play set, featuring Mike, Sulley, and all your favorite monsters from the new film.

The official Disney Infinity YouTube channel posted a fun-filled trailer for all that's in store in the MU portion of the game. You'll get to pull outrageous pranks, explore the university grounds, and, naturally, scare other monsters. Watch the trailer below:

Since Infinity practically comes with an entire MU game within it (along with games for Cars, The Incredibles, etc....shouldn't they just call this Pixar Infinity?), I see little chance for there being an actual video game dedicated solely to Pixar's latest feature, but this more than makes up for that, don't you think? Plus, it's being developed by Avalanche, the same masterminds behind the astounding Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 video games, so expect to be blown away!

Disney Infinity hits store shelves August 18. Are you looking forward to it and will you be getting it? Share with us in the comments!

Trailer for Brave Video Game

The video game adaptation of Brave will hit store shelves this year, and here is the first trailer for the game.

I have to admit, it does not look as good as the Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 video games did, and I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that this one isn't being developed by Avalanche Software, as the TS3 and Cars 2 ones were. And also, I haven't heard a lot about Pixar being closely involved with the development of this one, so it may turn out to be like any standard video game adaptation of a movie. The Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 games are, without a doubt, the best video games based on a movie that I have ever played. I could be wrong about this Brave one though, so I will give it a try.

Of course, this video game doesn't one bit affect my intense excitement for the actual movie!

Brave Video Game Coming Soon!

With every Pixar movie comes a great video game to accompany the film. This summer, get ready to experience the adventures of Merida on your gaming console in an all new video game.

Disney Interactive Media Group brought us the news today about the new game based on Pixar's upcoming film about a certain Scottish princess. Brave: The Video Game will allow you to embark on Merida's epic journey, as well as play as some of the other fantastic new characters from Pixar's latest feature. You'll be able to "run, jump and battle your way through the rugged landscape of mythical and mysterious Scotland". By using a sword and a bow, players will be able to experience the film's story like never before on their gaming consoles. Read the whole press release here:

Disney Interactive Media Group announced today that “Brave: The Video Game” is currently in development for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii™ system from Nintendo, Nintendo DS™ handheld system and Windows PC/ MAC. Inspired by “Brave,” the upcoming Disney•Pixar animated fantasy adventure movie, the video game invites players to run, jump and battle their way through the rugged landscape of mythical and mysterious Scotland. By using their wits and bravery, gamers will also be able to wield a sword and bow to defeat fierce enemies, break a magical curse and save a kingdom. The video game will release summer 2012, in conjunction with the film.

A third person action-adventure, “Brave: The Video Game” expands the tale beyond the movie’s storyline. Gamers can play as Merida, an expert archer and heroine, and in the console versions, players can also play as other entertaining characters from the film. In addition, they will be able to go on quests through a magical world and solve puzzles to uncover secrets.

“We’re excited to offer a compelling game across multiple platforms for fans of the upcoming Disney•Pixar film ‘Brave’. Whether gamers want to play on their own or with others, they can relive highlights from Merida’s journey and go on new adventures inspired by the legends of Scotland and Disney•Pixar storytelling,” said Javier Ferreira, senior vice president of publishing, Disney Interactive Media Group. “With Kinect™ for Xbox 360 and Move on the PlayStation®3, gamers will feel like they are using a bow and arrow in an archery range and have a truly immersive experience.”

The console versions of “Brave: The Video Game” offer a variety of gameplay, including single-player, co-op for family and friends, and a special Bear mode, where players will be able to play as a bear. Several new opponents created exclusively for the game will challenge the player throughout the experience, culminating with an ultimate boss battle to complete the adventure. The Nintendo DS game is filled with its own exciting missions and a myriad of characters to engage single players.

“Brave: The Video Game” launches Summer 2012 for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii™, Nintendo DS™ and Windows PC/MAC.

Sure sounds like another fantastic, addicting game. Having played both the Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 video games in the past, I have high hopes for this one, and I have nearly no doubts that it will not dissapoint.

Expect Brave: The Video Game to be out sometime in June; about a week or so before the movie opens in theaters. Although I'd avoid playing it before seeing the actual film, as it could hold a spoiler or two. I'll definitely be checking to game out sooner or later, however. It just sounds too cool to ignore.

New Disney-Pixar Kinect Game Coming Soon!

The last Pixar video game that was released, I believe, was the Cars 2 video game, that is, if you don't count the recently released Disney Universe, which includes characters from countless Disney branded films, including many of the Pixar films.

A new Disney/Pixar game is coming, however. This March, Kinect Rush - A Disney/Pixar Adventure will arrive, and boy, does it look exciting.

Watch the trailer here:

I was at Best Buy the other day trying out the Kinect, and I have to say, it is pretty astounding, so I can't imagine what fun the Pixar characters will bring to the system.

The game consists of five beloved Pixar classics; The Incredibles, Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, and Ratatouille., and judging by the trailer, will have special levels with all of the different characters from these films. What's more, you'll now be able to control Buzz, Remy, Mr. Incredible, and even Lightning McQueen by using yourself as the remote!

Kinect Rush - Disney/Pixar Adventures hits store shelves March 2012, and will be available exclusively to the Xbox 360 console.

New Cars 2 Videos: Clip and Video Game Trailer

As the streak of new videos from the upcoming spy film Cars 2 continues, we get another peek at one of the scenes that take place in Tokyo, and yet another trailer for the anticipated video game. In the clip, watch as Lightning McQueen greets fellow racers Jeff Gorvette and Lewis Hamilton, and meanwhile, Mater gets distracted by Zen Master. In the background, you can also hear Perfume's song for the Cars 2 soundtrack, "Polyrhythm". The new trailer for Cars 2: The Video Game gives what is probably the best look at the video game yet. Clearly, the video game will be just as action-packed as the movie, and it's great to see that all the new characters are featured as well.

Like I've said before; all these clips are making me even more and more desperate for the movie to come out.

Luckily, the wait to Cars 2 is quickly approaching the finish line, with only 20 days to go until its release in North American theaters, and only 17 days until the video game hits store shelves!

Cars 2: The Video Game!

Cars 2: The Video Game hits store shelves on June 21, and some people are making as big of a fuss for the game as they are for the movie.

Often the video games based on films aren't exactly very good, but last year, Pixar teamed up with Avalanche to try and break that curse. The Toy Story 3 video game was incredible, and is one of the best movie-based video games I've ever known.

Toy Story 3: The Video Game was the first game that Pixar did with Avalanche, and since it was a big success, the two companies have teamed up again for the Cars 2 video game! Starting with Toy Story 3, Pixar was highly involved in the creation of the video games based on their movies, and as a result, the TS3 game was a big improvement over previous Pixar games.

Cars 2: The Video Game is set after the events of Cars 2. Players get the chance to train to become a spy at CHROME, which stands for Command Headquarters for Reconnaisance Operations and Motorized Espionage. This game is the perfect combination of an awesome racing game and a spectacular action-adventure game. Cars 2: The Video Game also features all the great characters from the film.

Watch the two trailers for the video game below:

Be sure to check out the "Developer Diaries":

Cars 2: The Video Game

June is just around the corner, and we have recently gotten to see new trailers for Cars 2, so it was only a matter of time that we got a first good look at the video game for the movie! Cars 2: The Video Game is being developed by Avalanche, with some help from Pixar of course. These are the same companies that developed the TS3 video game, so it is clear that it will be just as fun and entertaining. The game will be released for the Wii, XBox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and PSP. Watch the trailer below.
