Behold the Awesome Cars Die-Cast Exhibit!

There's a pretty astonishing exhibit going on right now over at the Peterson Automotive Gallery in Los Angeles. It's called "From Silver Screen to Die-Cast: Disney-Pixar Cars Imagined by Mattel". It is essentially an exhibition of every single Cars, Cars Toon, and Cars 2 die-cast car ever made. Being both a big Cars fan and a Cars die-cast collector, I would not miss a chance to get into this spectacular exhibit!

And it features more than just little collectible cars. There is even a section that educates people on the history and evolution of Cars die-cast packaging! The astounding 1:55 scale fully-animated Lightning McQueen ALIVE toy also makes an appearance.

There are also some sweet recreations of famous Cars posters and movie scenes using the die-casts, along with a car-shaped shelf filled with more die-casts! Another section of the exhibition focuses on extremely rare or never-before-seen Cars die-casts.

The exhibit will also give you a sneak peek at the new Cars die-casts coming in 2012!

The Creepy Yet Cool Steve Jobs Figure

You may have heard of the Apple co-founder and former Pixar CEO, Steve Jobs, doll - sorry, action figure - that's been causing quite the scandal on the web lately.

A few weeks ago, a Hong Kong-based toy company named In Icons announced its $99 Steve Jobs collectible figure. The figurine gained popularity on the Internet, even though some considered its amazingly accurate features creepy and uncanny. The action figure was admittedly cool, though. However, Apple and the Jobs family quickly "pressured" the company to stop production on the doll, claiming they owned the rights to the Steve Jobs image.

In Icons soon released a statement saying how they "received immense pressure" from  the lawyers of Apple and Steve's family, and, out of their "heartfelt sensitivity to the feelings of the Jobs family", made the decision to "completely stop the offer, production and sale of the Steve Jobs figurine", still claiming, however, that they had "not overstepped any legal boundaries". So I guess we won't be seeing this creepy/cool Steve Jobs figure on our shelves now. It would've surely driven collectors and Jobs fans everywhere nuts, but there plenty of other neat Steve Jobs collectibles out there, so there's no need to be upset!

More 'Cars Toon' Die Cast Cars Coming Soon!

We haven't seen a whole lot of new Cars Toon die casts in a while, since all the new Cars 2 merchandise took over back in May. However, it looks like the popular line of Cars Toon collectibles will be returning in a bit, and this time with some of the newer Tall Tales.

Take5aDay has got a nice picture, which you can have a look at above, of a fine-looking Moon Mater die cast car. I really can't wait for this to come out, I have several other Cars Toon die casts, and they are all awesome collector's items.

I also hear there's some new Cars 2 die casts coming up, so keep your eyes peeled for those as well!

Toy Story 3 Danglers

If you're a Pixar fan and you like to collect little Pixar items (like me), than you are definitely going to want the new 'Toy Story 3' danglers! You may have seen them at the mall lately in one of those machines that give you a little egg if you put a coin in it. They make great decorations for your cell phone, your DS, or even your Christmas tree! If you see them at your local mall, you shouldn't pass up the chance to collect all eight! (I already have the Green Alien and Hamm!)

Toy Story Collection "Bullseye" Now on Disney Store

Another addition has been made to the 'Toy Story Collection', and this time it's Woody's beloved horse, Bullseye (details here)! Bullseye is one of my favourite characters from the "Toy Story" series, specially because he is so loyal to Woody. This awesome replica is exactly like the one seen in the movies, and like all other toys in the 'Collection', it comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity". I'm looking forward to finding him at 'Toys R Us' soon and bringing him home.

Additions to "Toy Story Collection"

Finally, the new additions to the Toy Story Collection are coming to stores! These toys are none other than Jessie The Yodeling Cowgirl, Mr Potato Head, and Toy Story 3's all new character Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear! Same as the old ones, these are beautifully made by Thinkway Toys. They are the exact same characters you know and love from the Toy Story films. Too bad they're a little on the expensive side. I have Woody, Buzz, RC Car, and the Green Army Men already, and I can't wait to get these ones! Check out some more details at DisneyStore.com
