Lee Unkrich Says "The End."

They made the movie. They released it in theaters. It was a huge success. They release it on Blu-Ray and DVD. They put it in a drawer along with the other Pixar movies.

At least that's what director Lee Unkrich did. He has posted this video on You Tube for all Pixar fans to enjoy.

This officially marks "The End" for Toy Story 3. Well, not the end, but the end of the process of making the film, the end of its run in theaters, until it was released in home video.

Don't forget to look for Toy Story 3 on Blu-Ray and DVD this Tuesday. Finally.

Since it is "The End", it won't be long until the nominations (and awards, duh) start coming in for TS3. In my opinion, TS3 will definitely win Best Animated Movie at the Oscars and has a pretty strong chance of being nominated and possibly winning Best Picture.

The Marvelous Music of Pixar

Music is a marvelous thing. It makes us feel certain emotions, depending on what kind of music it is. My most favorite music of all, is the music used in Pixar films. I think it's so good, it should be made into its own genre. Rock, pop, classical, and Pixar. Pixar not only makes great films, but they make great films with great music. As I mentioned at the start, it music makes us feel different emotions. For example, the opening jazz theme for Monsters, Inc. makes me feel happy and excited because of its cheery beat. The theme for Finding Nemo really touches my heart, and makes me feel calm, and it makes me think that it's a beautiful world. There is a lot more Pixar music, so that's why below I've posted quite a few (there is at least one song for each Pixar movie) of my personal favorites from all the Pixar films. Please do enjoy.

Awesome Pixar News Bundle!

A lot of awesome new things have been going on in the Pixar world lately (as always). Read below to find out what the awesome new things are.

-I sometimes like to save the best for last, but this was too exciting to hold off until the end. OK, here it goes. The first teaser trailer for Cars 2 has been released on the Internet! Woo Hoo! It was assumed that it would be coming for the first time on the DVD/Blu-Ray for TS3, but it came two weeks early! While I'm on the subject of Cars 2, the official website now includes the teaser trailer and some cool concept art of the film, including the art seen above and below. Also, director Brad Lewis has now been made co-director, while former co-director John Lasseter takes his spot as director. This is pretty exciting for me because I am a huge fan of John and he hasn't directed a film since the first Cars. Wow, there sure has been a lot of news about Cars 2 lately. The new trailer, Michael Giacchino is composing, John Lasseter directing...what's next? They may be having a few difficulties with the film as has been rumored, but I totally doubt Pixar will make a bad movie! I have complete faith in Pixar, and they would definitely not screw up after 11 hits! A bad Pixar movie...there is NO SUCH THING!!!

-The director has also been changed for another upcoming Pixar movie. Brenda Chapman is no longer directing Brave. However, she is not leaving Pixar, as previously assumed. Mark Andrews will be replacing her as director. This is a bit of a shocker. Brenda Chapman was going to be Pixar's first female director, and she came up with the story for Brave herself. But I'm sure whatever it is they're doing at Pixar, it's for the best.

-Just a quick announcement, The Incredibles is coming to Blu-Ray high definition next spring!

The Legendary Pixar Cereal Bar

This post is all about the cereal bar seen above (In case you don't know, that's the cereal bar at Pixar), and, as I mentioned two posts ago, contains all the information I know about it. Too bad I don't know very much. Well, I know a bit...

Well, apparently Pixarians love cereal, so it's great that they have a whole cereal bar. According to an interview with Darla K. Anderson (the producer of Monsters, Inc., A Bug's Life, Cars, and Toy Story 3) in this video, "the producer's secret weapon to get things done on time and on budget is to keep infusing the animators with cereal". In the same video, Bob Whitehill says "cereal is always kind of like a tradition at Pixar where people just come in and have a bowl of cereal before they go off into animation".

Not only does Pixar have a cereal bar, but it has a HUGE cereal bar. At least it's described as "HUGE" everywhere I've heard or read about it. It ranges from Cocoa Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Captain Crunch, Cheerios, Corn Pops, Frosted Flakes, and many more! I've just listed a few of my personal favorites.

The "Cereal Room", the room in which the cereal bar is found, not only includes the bar, it also includes coffee, peanut butter, jam, milk (of course), fruits, and other appetizing snacks and beverages.

Well, and that concludes my awesome post about the awesome cereal bar of awesomeness. I may be writing a post soon about some other cool stuff at Pixar, and if you have any requests, you can put them in the comments section and I'll be happy to write a post about it. :)

Pixar News Lineup

There's been a lot of Pixar news going around lately, but I haven't been able to get on to the computer much with all the homework I've had. I don't like homework. At all.

-First up, it has been announced that composer Randy Newman will not return to score Cars 2. However, Up composer Michael Giacchino will be scoring the film. This should be great. Randy Newman would've done a great job, but Micheal Giacchino is just as talented.

-You may remember the "Chatter Telephone Tipline" video I posted not so long ago. It was about Pixar's secret code, A113. Well, a few more "Chatter Telephone Tiplines" have debuted on the Internet. One is about Lee Unkrich's one and only line in TS3. Lee voiced the Jack-in-the-Box that proclaims, "New toys!" when Andy's toys arrive at Sunnyside. There is also another "Chatter Telephone Tipline" about Sid's cameo in TS3. You may remember Sid as Andy's evil neighbor who tortures toys in the first Toy Story. Well, in TS3 he is a little older, and appears to have gotten a job in the garbage truck business.

-A few more sneak peeks of the bonus features which will be on the TS3 DVD/Blu-Ray have been released. One is a touching video featuring director Lee Unkrich and John Morris, voice of Andy in Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and Toy Story 3. Another one features interviews with Lee Unkrich, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Estelle Harris, and Jodi Benson. Only two days and two weeks until we bring all the action, heart, and humor of TS3 home!

Well, that's it for today, but keep coming back here for everything Pixar, the company that makes the best films in the world!

Note: My post about the Pixar cereal bar will be my next post. ;)

Sneak Peek of New "Cereal Bar" Studio Story

You may have heard of Pixar's legendary cereal bar before. In the newest installment of Pixar's Studio Stories, which will be included on the TS3 DVD and Blu-Ray, this amazing cereal bar is explained. The video below is just a sneak peek of the upcoming Studio Story, so there is much more to come on the TS3 DVD and Blu-Ray. I personally think that this cereal bar is really, really, cool. I would LOVE to have a cereal bar like this at home, but I don't think that's ever going to happen! :( Look forward to the complete version of this Studio Story, and some other cool ones, when TS3 hits stores November 2! (Only less than a month to go! I can't wait to watch TS3 again!)

Note: My next post will be all about Pixar's cereal bar, and will include everything I know about it.

Are you a fan of Pixar's Studio Stories? Had you ever heard of Pixar's cereal bar before? Are you excited for TS3 to come out on home video?
